Method of Assessment This qualification is competency-based, meaning your assessment will revolve around collecting evidence while performing your regular work duties. Importantly, this course doesn’t have exams. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Evidence Collection in Work Role: As you carry out your usual job responsibilities, you will gather evidence. This evidence should reflect your competence and compliance with workplace policies and procedures. To ensure a comprehensive evidence base, you should work with at least two different service users. This will allow you to demonstrate a diverse range of skills and competencies.
  • Observation: You will be required to undergo observation in a suitable environment to demonstrate your practical skills. Additionally, the assessor will consider testimonies from expert witnesses who can vouch for your skills and competencies.
  • Written Assignments: Each unit of the course will require completion of written assignments, which will be internally marked by your tutor. Your personal tutor will provide constructive feedback and guidance to help you succeed.
  • Assessor Support: You will have support from assessors available via telephone, WhatsApp, online discussion forums, email, and web chats, ensuring that you have access to help whenever you need it.
