Method of Assessment This course is evaluated through a combination of written assignments and observations. Importantly, this course doesn’t have exams. Here’s an overview of how you will be assessed throughout the course:

  • Written Assignments: You will need to complete a written assignment at the end of each module. These assignments are assessed internally by a qualified assessor. You will receive detailed, constructive feedback and guidance from your personal tutor to aid in your learning and improvement.
  • Observation of Practice: The course includes one mandatory observation of your performance as an assessor. This observation can take place either at your current workplace or in a voluntary placement. During the observation, you must demonstrate your competence by actively assessing and providing solid evidence of your practices.
  • Evidence Requirements: You are required to provide evidence of assessing two different learners. Additionally, a colleague must act as an expert witness to testify to your assessment methods and competence.
  • Grading: The course follows a pass-only assessment protocol. There are no grades; you simply need to meet the competency standards to pass.
  • Assessor Support: You will have support from assessors available via telephone, WhatsApp, online discussion forums, email, and web chats, ensuring that you have access to help whenever you need it.
